  • 45 g / 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp muscovado sugar
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 20 g / 1/4 cup rolled oats (use GF if needed)
  • 2 small apples (about 150 g each)

  • Preheat your oven to 175 °C / 350 °F
  • Melt the butter in a pan. Add the sugar, maple syrup and almond flour. Stir continuously and boil until thickened. This will take about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Once thickened, remove from the heat.
  • Add the oats and stir until combined. Set a side to cool.
  • Cut the apples into half and remove the core. top the apple with the filling, about 1 tbsp for each apple. Spread it out so it covers the apple.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until the apple is soft (read notes). If the topping browns too much, cover it with foil.
  • Once cooked, serve with greek yogurt or vanilla ice cream. Enjoy straight away!

  1. Different varieties of apples bake differently. Depending on the variety, it may take a little bit longer to bake the apple until soft. If that's the case, cover the apples with foil so the topping doesn't burn.
