Swap your sugary drink for this raspberry slushie! It’s low in sugar, fresh and super easy to make!
I love my water, but sometimes I feel that water can get a bit boring and that I need something with more flavour.
So a healthy alternative to any sugary drinks is this raspberry slushie! It’s low in sugar, loaded with fibre and vitamin C!
What’s not to like?
This recipe is super easy! Just add frozen raspberries, sparkling water, lemon juice and a drizzle of honey/maple syrup to a blender and blend until smooth!
The lemon juice is key in this raspberry slushie, as the lemon really helps to bring out the raspberry flavour.
You can add a few handfuls of ice cubes if you wish and if you’re blender can crush ice, but as the raspberries are frozen, I think that adds enough iciness to the drink to make it slushie like!
What’s great with this drink is that you actually get to eat/drink the whole raspberry, instead of just the juice! Raspberry is one of the most fibre rich berries (I know, it’s technically a fruit, but among all berries and berry like fruits) so this is why this drink is very rich in fibre! And fibre helps you to stay full and keeps your blood sugar well balanced as well, making this raspberry slushie a better option than any sugary drink!
