Banana coconut shake. Do I need to say more?
If you’ve ever been to Thailand, you know that there are street vendors around every corner selling fruits shakes everywhere. And when I’ve been there, I’ve been drinking them all the time as they cool you down and quench your thirst in the heat. Watermelon and coconut shakes are my favourite shakes. You might think that a shake is a shake, but one of the best shakes I’ve ever had was in a restaurant called Fuji, a sushi chain you can find all over Thailand, and they have the most amazing coconut shake on their menu! So if you ever find yourself in Thailand, having sushi at Fuji, try the coconut shake. You won’t be disappointed.
That coconut shake was the inspiration of making this one, and as I don’t have access to Fuji on a daily basis, I’ve made my own version. We have banana in this, which adds natural sweetness and creaminess to it. If you feel like it needs more sweetner, you can add a little little bit of golden syrup, maple syrup, honey, whatever you prefer. Hope you enjoy! And also, let me know, what is your favourite shake?
Banana coconut shake
- 2 bananas
- 300 ml coconut milk
- 150 ml water or ice
- Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Serve.
